Bianca Asha Maiocchi
Teaching Artist
About
Bianca Asha Maiocchi is a yoga, breathwork, and meditation instructor who incorporates sound, clay, and movement to create playful and welcoming environments where children can regulate their nervous systems, connect with their emotions, and experience the joy of creative exploration. A lifelong artist, Bianca believes that creativity is one of the most natural pathways to healing and communicating. Her approach is informed by neuroscience, expressive arts therapies, and the understanding that children and adults alike learn best through curiosity, play, and embodied experience. Bianca earned her bachelor's degree from NYU (Gallatin School of Individualized Study), where her research explored the intersection of neuroscience and the arts, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She has worked as a music therapist assistant at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, as a yoga, breathwork, and meditation instructor for 4+ years at Broome Street Yoga, and as an art teacher in elementary schools. Bianca is also a Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor through Southern California University of Health Sciences. Bianca is passionate about helping growing people feel safe, seen, and empowered through joyful, body-based practices.
Bianca was born and raised in Los Angeles, speaks 4 languages (Advanced: English, Italian, and French; Intermediate: Spanish), and loves cooking and reading in her spare time.
