About
Summer Jasmine Lall, MT-BC, is a Board-Certified Music Therapist, speaker, entrepreneur, and creative arts therapies leader with nearly 20 years of experience developing trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health and wellness programs for youth, families, neurodivergent individuals, and systems-impacted communities. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2008 and is the founder and CEO of Rhythm & Truth, an SBA award-winning creative arts therapies organization providing music therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, dance/movement therapy, adaptive arts education, and professional development programming throughout California. In 2026, Summer received the SBA Los Angeles Person of the Year Award, while Rhythm & Truth received the SBA Ventura Business of the Year Award in recognition of their leadership and community impact. Rhythm & Truth has developed partnerships with more than 120 schools, treatment centers, County initiatives, healthcare systems, and community organizations and has provided services to thousands of individuals across diverse populations.
Summer is also the founder of Cradlesong, an early childhood and family wellness program focused on prenatal, postpartum, infant, toddler, and caregiver support through music and creative expression. She developed the Resistance to Resilience online training programs to teach professionals best practices in using music to empower youth and build resilience. Summer serves as the U.S. Representative and Lead Trainer for the Rhythm2Recovery therapeutic drumming program and is a HeartMath Certified Trainer and Sound Birthing Fellow. Her additional training includes HealthRHYTHMS, Beat The Odds, RISE/LGBTQ, Pro-ACT de-escalation, C-SEC, and Risking Connection trauma-informed care.
Summer has practiced music therapy and creative arts therapies programming in schools, shelters, foster camps, correctional facilities, treatment centers, hospitals, hospice settings, yoga studios, community wellness programs, and early childhood environments. SSummer has presented nationally at conferences, universities, and professional development events including Berklee College of Music, UCLA, the AMTA National Conference, and the Expressive Therapies Summit. She has also been featured as an expert contributor in documentaries including We All Just Need to Drum and the Proven Docuseries. Rhythm & Truth was also selected to provide interactive community arts programming for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Fan Zones in Los Angeles County.
In addition to her local outreach, music and community work have taken Summer to more than 20 countries around the world. When she is not facilitating creative arts therapies programs, she is writing, recording, and performing with her band PWR CPL, hoping to inspire connection, healing, and positive change through music however she can.
